A jolly good Fellow?

This September, I was elected a Fellow of the International Society for Science and Religion. From the invitation, I understand that to be elected Fellow, an existing Fellow has to recommend you and then every couple of years a selection committee examines the suggestions.

Naturally, this begs the question of who might have done so. I know a couple of the other Fellows and am friends with one…so maybe, probably, he’s the person who put my name in the hat? But I also gave an author-meets-critic talk for the ISSR meeting at the annual meeting for the American Academy of Religion in 2015. That event was well-received, so perhaps one of the folks who spoke with me there made the recommendation.

In any case, I’m delighted and honored.

p.s. that image belongs to the ISSR, I snagged if off of their webpage.
